[TAS] Lights, Camera, Pants! - Bronze Story Mode (#1 - Waiter Role)

So my brother, my girlfriend, and I (Yeah, real mature of an 18-year old to be playing a Spongebob game from 2005 XD) decided to replay this game for old times sake a month ago. And as my brother and I kept showing each other off, he then suggested that I TAS the game. I thought it was a silly idea at the time, and shrugged it off. But a week after, I downloaded the ISO on a whim and, ultimately, TAS-ed it. It was the funnest and most nostalgic feeling of accomplishment I've felt in years. :P Oh, for those who don't know about the game, this is a Spongebob game released for the GameCube, PlayStation 2, and the original Xbox back in 2005. The object of the game is to get the most popularity points for a location-specific role (i.e. Waiter at the Krusty Krab, Prison Guard at the Bikini Bottom Jail, etc.). You do that by having the most points in every minigame (3 in every location, 4 if you have a 2+-way tie). Whoever has the most popularity points at the end of the run through of every location earns a special supervillan role, all for the special episode of "The Adventures of Mermaid Man & Barnacle Boy". Think of the game as an adaptation of Mario Party, simply put. XD So, as part of the TAS, I will be skipping all cutscenes until the game finally shows the final, completed "episode". Now, here's some commentary for each minigame: 1) Flippin' Out! ••••• So this minigame is pretty self explanatory; flip Krabby Patties at your partner, catch your partner's Krabby Patties, avoid Chum Bucket Patties. That's all it really is. ••••• At the start of the 1st round in this minigame, I spastically move around the second I get the chance to. All while flipping and catching patties. ••••• The AI is so dumb, even when set to it's highest setting. It fails to catch and flip patties each moment it has the most time to do so. ••••• Every round, I'm getting a perfect score. Just needs to be said. :P ••••• So each round, which is a minute in-game, it gets a bit faster. The speed of the patties being flipped goes faster, but all animations for each character stay at their normal speeds every round. ••••• 2nd and 3rd round, I relax in terms of spastic movement. I also start making fake-outs when Chum Bucket Patties are being flipped my way. 2) Order Up! ••••• This one is pretty simple, too. Pretty much every minigame in the first 2 or 3 locations are simple enough to be explained, so I'll refrain from explaining. If you do want me to explain, ask me in the comments and I'll explain them there. ••••• Luck was just not on my side in the 1st round in this minigame (1m30s). The opposing group kept getting easier tasks and orders to do, which granted them the early lead. ••••• When is was time for the 2nd round to start, we were saved by a wrong order made by the opposing team, which gave us time to catch up and eventually win the rest of the minigame. 3) The Bouncers! ••••• I started to move spastically for about 12 seconds before I felt tired of just moving around a lot. I do move spastically in between rounds, since there's plenty of time before we get switched. ••••• 1st round, I bounced each box at the last possible frame. ••••• 2nd round, I move immediately after I bounce each box. Sometimes, it may look like I wasn't even there to bounce them. :P ••••• 3rd round, I bounced each box at the last possible frame for the first 30 seconds until I switched to doing what I did in the 2nd round. ••••• 4th and last round, I moved at the same frame my partner moved. ••••• This minigame is another example of bad AI. They seem to act smarter when they have a HUMAN player on their side rather than another smart (hard) CPU player. The opposing team missed boxes and moved considerably slower than the AI on my team did. 4) Rock, Paper, Scissors! •••••What can I say? It's just Rock, Paper, Scissors. ••••• I didn't even have to use savestates for this one. The only time I did was to pick an option at the earliest possible frame. Overall: THIS GAME HAS MORE LOADING SCREENS AND LOADING TIME THAN SONIC '06. =w= It's pretty repetitive, but surprisingly has SOME replay value. Let me know if you wanna see me completely TAS this game's "Story" Mode. And don't worry, Project M TAS-es ARE, in fact, coming back soon, so stay tuned for that! I know this was a LOOOONG video, and an even longer description to go with it, but I hope you still enjoyed! Anyways, until next time, later!
