EUniWell Conference on Building Peace and Democracy in Ukraine - Opening of the Panel Discussion

The Building Peace and Democracy in Ukraine conference took place on 12–13 May 2026 at Taras Shevchenko National University in Kyiv, Ukraine, and at Linnaeus University, Kalmar campus, Sweden. The event is organised by EUniWell Arena 2: Social Equality and Well-being. We warmly invite contributions from scholars, researchers, and practitioners – especially from our EUniWell partner institutions. Ukraine stands at a critical historical juncture. In the face of ongoing aggression, territorial violations, and the trauma of war, the path to long-term peace and democratic stability lies not only in military resilience but also in the strengthening of institutions, the engagement of civil society, and the reconstruction of a just and inclusive economy. This conference provides a platform for coordinating expertise, exchanging experiences, and fostering collaboration across the domains most essential to Ukraine’s sustainable and democratic future.
