A few words about buying a house for renovation. After several years of searching for a plot of land, we came to the conclusion that location was key for us, and even a cube house requiring a complete renovation would be the best solution. However, the most important thing is the location, close to work, school, friends, and family. Therefore, we passed on newer houses and plots outside the city. Although they were attractive, the constant driving everywhere and wasting time stuck in traffic jams wasn't for us. We wanted everything to be relatively close, accessible by foot, bike, bus, or car. We were particularly interested in being close to our daily commutes by foot, bike, or bus, without having to change jobs, schools, etc. And then this house came along. We walked in, saw it, and immediately came up with some ideas for changes. It had a positive atmosphere, a sufficient plot of land, a practical basement under the entire house, the perfect location for us, great neighbors, a very quiet street with speed limits. The offer was simply perfect, just what we wanted from the very beginning. And so we bought this house for a complete renovation. Why do we need a house? It's just been a long-time dream of mine. I don't have huge expectations, but a house, plot of land, and garage will allow me to relax, tinker, and record more videos, tests, reviews, and guides for your channel, and that's important to me.
