Irvin Jim addresses the SAFTU May Day rally
NUMSA secretary general Irvin Jim coming out with guns blazing, telling deputy president Cyril Ramaphosa that workers do not want the R3, 500 minimum, instead of demanding R12, 500. He also shredded COSATU president Sdumo Dlamini and called him arrogant and a political dwarf and stopped short of calling him 2 faced, calling for Pres Zuma to step down yet inviting him to address the May Day rally and secretly telling him "Qina Msholozi Qina" in Jim's words. As the world celebrates Workers' Day, or May Day as previously referred to, some countries including South Africa are grappling with rising unemployment.
