Soft Cell comprised of Marc Almond and Dave Ball. The track Say Hello, Wave Goodbye was originally released in 1982, from their album Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret. In the extended mix the clarinet is performed by an American musician Dave Tofani, who was an amazing session musician. With Marc from Southport and Dave from Blackpool, they met at college in Leeds. Living in and reflecting on the seedy underbelly of London’s Soho – influenced by 60s music, a chanson song (lyric driven French song), and newspaper headlines.
