Jtech 2026 | Chit Chat | Day 01

JTECH is a flagship event organized by the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Jinnah University for Women. The event features a Final Year Project exhibition along with an ideas display platform, providing students an opportunity to showcase innovation, research, and problem solving skills. With a strong focus on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, 54 projects participated this year, addressing diverse societal and technological challenges through innovative solutions. Key focus areas of this edition include cyber security, healthcare, inclusive edtech solutions for neuro-atypical individuals, academic workflow systems, and environmental monitoring and improvement technologies. The showcased projects also include augmented reality based virtual try-on systems for makeup products and apparel, virtual reality lab experiences for secondary and higher secondary education, smart surveillance and crowd control systems, assistive technologies for specially abled individuals, and artificial intelligence driven healthcare solutions. Through these initiatives, JTECH presents a vision for a better world, and particularly for a stronger and more sustainable Pakistan of tomorrow. JTECH represents a strong collaborative effort between academia and industry. Industry linkages are reinforced through direct interaction between students and industry experts, paving the way for mentorship, constructive feedback, and professional growth. The industry’s generous support reflects confidence in the platform’s potential to empower future women entrepreneurs and technology leaders. Renowned organizations including Trend Micro, KAISPE, Bank Alfalah, Contour Software, and several others partnered with the department to set the stage for JTECH 2026. In addition, the event attracted significant interest and engagement from other major players across the IT industry, further strengthening its impact and reach.
