Sandgate Voices from the Past — Full Documentary
Sandgate is a beautiful bayside suburb of Brisbane. It was very different between the 1920 and 1950s to today. Imagine a bustling resort town with four purpose built cinemas. In this historical documentary you will hear first-hand what life was like in the area and how people enjoyed the Pier and the then penny arcade as well as what life was like in the area during world war two. This is a historical documentary created by Abintra Creations (http://abintra.com.au) for Sandgate and District Historical Society and Museum (http://sandgatemuseum.com.au). It was funded by a History and Community Grant from the Brisbane City Council.
