Hello all my RC Plane friends! Welcome to my build series of the fantastic Balsa USA 1/6 Scale Nieuport 17 RC (radio control) Balsa Plane kit. In this series I will show every step on how to build this RC Plane Kit from opening the box, to the maiden flight, and every step along the way. I will be using basic building techniques that I have developed over many years of building balsa RC plane kits, plus all the tips and techniques I learn from you in your shared comments on the channel and build series. This plane will be powered by a Saito .45 cubic inch 4 stroke glow engine (other power options are also available). I will be going over all things that are typically done in a an RC plane kit build, including setting up the building board and work table, common tools, adhesives, covering material, hardware, covering, mounting the engine, assembly and installing the fuel tank, installing hinges, landing gear, and electronics (servos, receiver, battery) : everything! In this video (#5) we continue with construction of the fuselage. We install the forward cabane struts, the top formers and longerons for the forward top fuselage. form up the sides on top of the crutch and along the formers.
