FRV. Arriva London Route 123. Ilford, Hainault Street - Wood Green. Wright Gemini 2 DW336 (LJ60 AWW)

Todays video is a sunset FRV on the route 123 from Ilford, Hainault Street to Wood Green. I’ve been wanting to do a full sunset visual on the 123 for quite some time but I haven’t really been that lucky until last Sunday when I decided to do it. Fortunately for me, DW336 was on the 123 which was actually unexpected since it doesn’t usually run on Sundays and I also got lucky by managing to fetch this for the visual. I’m a fan on the first gen DB300s as these are my favourite! Unfortunately 123 can only use two first gen DB300s, DW335 and 6. Out of the two DW336 is definitely my favourite lol. The driver I got was actually pretty good, despite him arriving to Wood Green 5 minutes late. I can’t blame him tho tbf since there was traffic at Gants Hill and it was more busy than usual for some reason, we were stopping at so many stops lol. The actual sunset could’ve been way better if it wasn’t for the crappy clouds ruining it lol. The driver was chill about me recording the bus, he jus asked why and that was that. Anyways, the route isn’t really that bad. During the day tho it does get extremely busy and long and most of the time you see 123s bunched up lol, this is one of the reasons I decided to do the sunset one. Saves me a good 20 minutes and the risk of curtailing. The best section is probably between Gants Hill and Wood Street Library since you can get some decent speeds if you get a good driver. Chances are slim of getting a good driver on the 123 since they’re all slow lol. I do recommend doing this route, although avoid doing it in peak times. I’d rate the route an 8/10.
