A Family Reunion

Fragments from the former gradual of St Michael's Church in Cluj reunited to the main bulk of the book after centuries. The manuscript was produced in the first decades of the sixteenth century for St Michael's Church in Cluj, and was transferred to the Batthyaneum Library in 1913 (current shelfmark: MS I.1). In the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries the gradual was mutilated, and some of its leaves were used to bind printed books. Three such fragments were identified, and are here briefly reunited to the original book.
