Illinois River Paddle Trip 2025 - Oklahoma

Illinois River, Oklahoma August 30 - September 1, 2025 Launch Point: Carnes Ford Take out Point: Lazy River Campground Miles: 13.5 miles Cfs: 1800 Shuttle Service: Lazy River Campground Site: 4, the electricity did NOT work fyi (and sounded like it was a common occurrence) Steven planned another incredible trip for us and this one did not disappoint. The weather, current and friends were perfect! The weather felt like a cool October day, it was perfect, water temps perfect too! We paddled down the river for 13.5 miles until we reached our campground for the take out. On the way we saw the Ozark mountain range, wildlife, fresh springs and such picturesque views! It did rain on the way there and on the way back, and a tiny bit while there, but we lucked out on a perfect paddle.
