PILAWA, ŚPIEWAK, LEDER: KONIEC LIBERALNEJ POLSKI? | #Debata

Polish politics today resembles a struggle for the throne in a kingdom that no longer exists. Liberals defend an order that has lost its social legitimacy. The right continues to mobilize voters against elites who long ago lost their former hold on the imagination of Poles. Meanwhile, we have imperceptibly entered a post-liberal era. Before our eyes, not so much the Polish state itself has ended, but its very soul – liberalism as the deep mental structure of the Third Polish Republic. Liberalism understood not only as a political or economic doctrine, but also as a fundamental and often unspoken assumption of our thinking about state and society. The reality designed in the 1990s no longer exists, and we continue to pretend that everything remains as it was. What has actually ended? What should we do about this situation? What can we grasp to think about the state anew and soberly? What kind of state do we need today? Is the ideological neutrality of institutions a fiction? Is axiological interventionism necessary today? These and other questions are answered by: 👉 Prof. Andrzej Leder - philosopher of culture, professor at the Institute of Philosophy and Sociology of the Polish Academy of Sciences.
