Proud! Canada Launches a Powerful New Ship for Arctic and Offshore Patrol - CCGS Donjek
Canada has reached an important milestone in strengthening its maritime capabilities. The Canadian Coast Guard officially launched its first new Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship, named CCGS Donjek, in Halifax. The ship was built by Irving Shipbuilding as part of Canada’s National Shipbuilding Strategy. This is the first of two similar ships being built for the Coast Guard. The second ship will be called CCGS Sermilik.
