And I was lucky enough to get my early hands on review. First of all, the build-quality is really great. Full metal body, it doesn’t feel cheap at all. During the test, I used the BMPCC4K. But the BMPCC4K doesn’t have build-in ND. And the 8mm has a fixed lens hood. But lucky enough the lens element doesn’t stick out too much. So you could still screw the 77mm ND on the hood a little bit. But then you have to use some taps and block the light coming from the side of the hood. Otherwise it creates funny lens flare. In terms of the image quality, it is really sharp even at T2.9. But when shooting T2.9 you get some vignetting at the corners. But once you have stopped down to T4.0. It’s fine. And I realize the BMPCC4K is 1.9x crop comparing with GH5 2.0x crop. So I reckon the vignetting will be gone if you use it on GH5. Over all, I think the 8mm lens is pretty fun to use. It works out around 16mm FF. Which is a very nice field of view. And that focal length doesn’t get a lot of distortions.
