Does the Proton S70 taxi make sense?

A brand-new Proton S70 as your taxi — duty-free, around RM60k after the trade rebate. Basically the price of a Myvi. On paper it sounds like a no-brainer. But is the S70 actually a good taxi, or are we about to watch a lot of drivers sign up for something they haven't done the maths on? In this one I break the S70 Teksi Madani down the way I'd think about it if I were the guy buying it — not as a car reviewer, but as someone about to run it as a business. The comfort is real. The ADAS is real. But make no mistake: this car costs more to keep on the road than a Saga or a Bezza, and the only question that actually matters is whether it can earn enough to justify that. So I break down what it really costs every month — installment, fuel, tyres, battery, servicing — and land on the one number every driver needs to be honest with themselves about before they sign anything. Because the moment you buy this car, your first RM100 or so every single day isn't yours. It belongs to the taxi. ⏱️ CHAPTERS (estimated — slot these to your actual edit) 00:00 — The RM60k taxi: what the government is offering 00:58 — Is the S70 any good as a taxi?
