We're Heading East! Our Caravan Journey to the Coast Begins

Join us as we begin our journey travelling from South Australia across to the NSW coast, exploring some of the best overnight stops along the way. In this episode of Bucket List Adventures, we leave Edithburgh and officially hit the road heading east — chasing the coast and starting our next big caravan adventure across Australia. Our first stop takes us to the beautiful Lake Bonney in Barmera, where we stay at a peaceful council-run campground right on the water — the perfect place to ease into the journey. From there, we continue along the highway to Hay, setting up at Sandy Point Reserve, a fantastic free camp on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River. Surrounded by gum trees, birdlife, and wide open space, it’s one of those quiet, relaxing spots that makes caravanning Australia so special.
