This is one of the top Bernard Purdie performances in my opinion, along with the majority of the great Royal Scam record. I used to play this with my band Ash & The Fax a bunch last summer, and I spent a lot of time trying to really get this groove and feel down. There are so many different ghost note and kick drum pattern variations throughout, but Purdie's feel is consistent no matter what. The same goes for every fill he plays- setting up the sections and figures perfectly. Enjoy!
