St Stithians College - DRIVE (Founders' Day 2019 Performance)

FOUNDERS’ DAY 2019 The chosen theme as we gathered for Founders’ Day 2019 on a crisp and clear Highveld morning was ‘South African Drum Beats’. The musical items, prayers and speeches all expressed aspects of ‘South African Drum Beats’, allowing the gathering to: ‘Hear the heartbeat of Africa, Feel the heartbeat of Africa, Be the heartbeat of Africa.’ Music is always central to Founders’ Day and this year’s ‘South African Drum Beats’ theme brought some South African favourites to the fore. The whole school musical item was an energetic and powerful performance of DRIVE by DJ Black Coffee and David Guetta with the orchestral arrangement by Peter Mclea and the Marimba arrangement by Mike Sibanda, led by Taryn Harrington.
