Heatsink Modifications - Laptop Modding Adventure - Part 3
Laptop Modding Adventure: Part 3 This one is all about improving the VRM temperatures to pave the way for the upcoming shunt mod and the increased temperatures the VRMs will face. This part includes the design and soldering the VRM coldplate to create a modified heatsink. Ultimately the heatsink will be nickel plated in part 5 to use it with liquid metal without the typical liquid-metal-copper-related corrosion/mitigation effects. The goal of this series still is: An RTX 2070 mobile with 125W and 140W TGP with a ton of documentation and (i hope interesting) data plots. Hope you enjoy me burning some money ;) Let's hope I succeed. ---
