The Ultimate Beach Camp? | Bogged at Lagoon, Warroora Station - Ep 134

This week on Trip 4 2 Australia, we say goodbye to the iconic 14 Mile Beach and point the rig south! We’re heading to one of the most stunning spots on Warroora Station: Lagoon Campground. The drive down the coastal tracks is nothing short of breathtaking, but the Ningaloo coast always has a way of keeping you humble. For only the second time ever, we found ourselves well and truly bogged while trying to negotiate the massive sand crossing into the Lagoon campground. It’s a reminder that even in paradise, the recovery gear needs to be ready! Once we settled in, we took the time to explore. We’ll take you on a full tour of the camp, stroll the pristine white sands, and witness that incredible moment where the red Aussie desert literally meets the vibrant Ningaloo Reef. In this episode: The 4WD trek from 14 Mile to Lagoon. The recovery: Getting bogged in the heavy sand crossing. A full tour of Lagoon Campground facilities and sites. Beach walks and exploring the "Desert meets Reef" landscape. 📍 Location & Camping Info: Location: Lagoon Campground (South End), Warroora Station, WA. Access: Strictly 4WD only. High clearance and low range recommended for the soft sand crossings. Camping Fees (Approx. 2026): ~$8.00 - $15.00 per adult per night (managed by DBCA/Parks and Wildlife). Requirements: You must be 100% self-sufficient. Portable chemical toilets are mandatory (Chemical toilet hire available at the Homestead for ~$10/day + deposit).
