ECOS LIVE WIRE 034: KEITH PANCAKE, CUSP, ASP, CHST, and Certified Safety Manager, with Osmose Utility Services. Mr. Keith shared his powerful Live Wire Story, surviving his Serious Injury in 2009. He has 20 years experience within the Electrical Utility Industry, and has previously been an International Society of Arboriculture Certified Arborist/Utility Specialist, and National Safety Council Defensive Driving Instructor. He was also a competition climber and head Judge for the ISA competition. In 2018, he was honored with the Utility Arborist Association's Will Nutter Silver Shield safety award. Keith survived a SIF and has committed his career to sharining his story to advance SIF prevention. Keith has a degree in Wildlife and Fisheries Science from TN Technological University and a degree in Geography/GIS from Keene State College. Keith is married with 2 daughters and resides in New Hampshire. He began his career with the utilities at Nashville Electric Service in 2002 as a consulting utility forester. He then took a few years away from the utilities to work as a commercial/residential arborist and ran his own tree service before transitioning back to the utilities after his injury in 2009 as an Operations Manager for a vegetation company working for the utilities across the USA. Currently Keith is working for Osmose Utilities Services, an infrastructure life extension company, as a Safety Manager for the structural steel services division focused on transmission towers and substations. Keith has been a regular contributor to numerous industry publications and enjoys presenting at conferences, and has served several roles in industry groups and committees.
