Million Mile Car! 1993 Accord Original Owner & Original Engine! 1,143,000 miles

Met in the parking lot of a car dealership and asked if I could do a video asking about the car and filming it. Was asked to just not film him which I respected and so most of the footage the cameras held a little low. By chance just met him and got to talking about the car for about 30 minutes before I asked to do a video, and for a while after the main video as well which I didn’t film. This car has been his since brand new in 1993. He’s driven it to 49 states and every Canadian province that can be driven to (Nunavut has no roads to it). Hiking trips, vacations, ski trips, and been the sole daily commuter for the last 32 going on 33 years! The car has its original engine only having needed pistons done around 600k-700k. And is on its second clutch at 1,143,000 miles! A testament to what good self maintenance on a car can do and how long it can last you. As well as how so many 90’s Japanese cars where built to a higher standard of longevity than most today. As someone who wants his new car to be simple enough he can work on it himself in the future. And as someone who wants a reliable well built car, it’s no wonder Subaru is the car maker he now has his eyes on. I wish him the best of luck and hopefully Subaru takes notice.
