If you are LEASING A CAR in 2024 or considering ordering a new lease car, you need to BE AWARE of what happens at the END of your lease period as it could cost you THOUSANDS in fair wear and tear penalty charges. Car leasing UK is still a relatively new way of buying a new car, however, it is rapidly growing in popularity and often works out cheaper than equivalent PCP deals. It is also known as personal contract hire (PCH) as technically you never own the car, you hire it from the finance company. Most car leases are for a 24 month or 36 month period and at the end of the agreed lease period, the lease broker will get in contact to arrange a car inspection. The end of lease inspection is usually carried out by a third party auction house such as British Car Auctions or Manheim.
