Rising star of realism, Adam Miller.

Adam Miller is an American painter based in New York. Born in Eugene, Oregon in 1979, he began an apprenticeship to artist Allen Jones at thirteen years old and at Sixteen, was accepted to the Florence Academy of Art in Florence and continued his studies under Michael John Angel in Florence. For the next four years, Miller traveled throughout Europe studying the work of the Baroque and Mannerist painters. He is known for his large-scale paintings inspired by baroque and mannerist art. He studied at the Florence Academy of Art, Michael John Angel Studios, Art Students League of New York and the Grand Central Academy of Art. Adam Miller’s dramatic, classically inspired portraits recontextualize the mythological narratives that course through the annals of art history. Miller draws on the Baroque and Mannerist works of Late Renaissance artists as well as the Neoclassical focus on Hellenistic narratives—exemplified in the works of Jacques-Louis David—in his paintings. He often inserts contemporary details into classical settings, with neon-jacketed hunters and casually attired film producers sneaking into his idyllic scenes. His work has been commissioned by Robert Pamplin Jr., the Chairman of the Board of the Portland Art Museum, Mike Tyson, and Eric Rhodes, publisher of Fine Art Connoisseur. Miller has exhibited in New York City, Paris, Los Angeles, Florence, Honolulu, and Las Vegas, among others. Adam Miller has been described in reviews as a “rising star of realism” and it was said that he “would be considered a master in any era” [Follow Adam Miller to learn more] https://www.adammillerart.com/   / adammillerart     / adamillerart
