This sacred temple is located in the Churu district of Rajasthan and is among the most important pilgrimage destinations for Hanuman devotees. According to divine history, the idol of Balaji Maharaj manifested miraculously in the year 1754 AD, when a farmer discovered it while ploughing his field. At the same time, a saint named Mohandas Ji Maharaj received divine instructions that the idol should be installed in Salasar. This divine coordination strengthened devotees’ faith and marked the beginning of Salasar as a major spiritual center. The idol of Hanuman Ji at Salasar is unique and instantly recognizable — round-faced, powerful moustache, intense yet compassionate eyes. Devotees believe this form of Balaji is extremely Jagrat (spiritually active). Tuesdays, Saturdays, Hanuman Jayanti, Chaitra Purnima, and Ashwin Purnima witness massive gatherings of devotees chanting “Jai Bajrang Bali” with unwavering faith. The temple atmosphere is filled with devotion through aarti, bhajans, chanting of Hanuman Chalisa, and seva activities. Offerings like coconut, churma, laddoos, red cloth, and sindoor are made with gratitude when wishes are fulfilled.
