Amamiya Sora, Ito Miku, Takahashi Rie, Kito Akari, and Hasegawa Ikumi experience rowing in honor of the animated film "Ganbatte Ikimasshoi"! ~Highlights~ This animation is based on the novel by Shikimura Yoshiko, about a group of high school girls who dedicate their youth to rowing. The coming-of-age story has also been adapted into a live-action film and a TV drama. Set at a high school in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, the girls revive their disbanded rowing club and train hard to win. The film is directed by Sakuragi Yuhei, who has also directed "Even if the World Ends Tomorrow." Voice cast members include Amamiya Sora, Ito Miku, Takahashi Rie, Kito Akari, and Hasegawa Ikumi. ~Synopsis~ At Mitsuhigashi High School in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, second-year student Murakami Etsuko has struggled to find what she wants to do and believes there's no point in trying. Etsuko and her childhood friend, Hime Saeki, help a transfer student, Riina Takahashi, who wants to join the disbanded rowing club, revive it. The five members of the rowing club, including Taeko Hyodo and Mayumi Imoto, are beginners, but after intense training, they compete in the preliminary rounds of the tournament, only to suffer a crushing defeat.
