ARMENIA: A Hidden Gem in Yerevan

We visit a hidden gem in Yerevan: The Yerevan Children's Railway in the beautiful Hrazdan Gorge...just minutes from Downtown. Mrs Mitch and I walk from the Opera House thru Saryan Street (cafe & restaurant district), then to Diana Abgar Park. From there we walk thru the Kond Pedestrian Tunnel to the old Soviet Amusement Park and Children's Railway, located in the stunning surrounds of the Hrazdan Gorge. The scenery is simply stunning, as is the old Soviet era railway station and the locomotives and carriages. The entire amusement park and railway is undergoing a complete remodelling and renovation, which will be a 4 year process. During May the railway is only open on weekends from 12:00 to 8pm.
