Afghanistan, The Road to Bamyan

An American taking a road trip through Afghanistan would have been inconceivable just 5 years ago. With the US War in Afghanistan in the past, this opportunity has become a reality in Afghanistan for foreign tourists. As we make our way to our second province on this trip through Afghanistan, we find ourselves on the road from Kabul to Bamyan Province. During wartime, this road was a treacherous place to find one’s self, with landmine explosions, and combat between the Pashtun Taliban and NATO forces a constant occurrence.
