確率10:重複組み合わせ①《大学受験数学》

It might be the first time I've watched a movie all the way through. I finally understood the story of two people chasing their dreams now that I'm an adult. Now I understand why Shizuku looked so distressed and cried when she had her grandfather read her novel. Watching it reminded me of the summer camp I attended when I worked at Waseda Academy. Back when I was a young working adult, Principal Aoba, who hired me, recommended it, and in my first year at Waseda Academy's summer camp, I was determined to get first place in the summer camp's class evaluation. However, I was ranked 9th out of 40 courses. After the camp ended, I found out my ranking at a party held at a rented hotel, attended only by the instructors who had participated in the camp. I was so upset that I couldn't stop crying, and I left the venue immediately, only to be comforted by Principal Aoba. At the time, I couldn't imagine how I could improve my lessons or how the survey results could get any better. I remember Principal Aoba telling me many times, "Even if you think you're doing things the same way, the survey results will definitely improve over time. It's impossible for them not to get any better." I also vaguely remember the top math instructor in Waseda Academy's university entrance exam division telling me, "The quality of the survey results depends more on the sense of unity among the students in the classroom than on the lessons themselves." After that, I participated in the summer camp three times, for three consecutive years, before leaving Waseda Academy. On my third attempt, I climbed to 2nd place out of 40 courses in the survey results, so I have no regrets. Even though I thought I was teaching the same way, the survey results improved, just as Principal Aoba had said. It's not that I was particularly happy to participate in the summer camp; rather, I was motivated to participate because it felt like receiving my annual report card in the form of a questionnaire. Looking back now, I realize that the questionnaire is only one indicator, and the outcome depends on the compatibility between the student and my lesson, so I don't think it's everything. There are students whose academic abilities don't match the lesson, and the results can fluctuate depending on the personality of the student filling out the questionnaire. However, from a management perspective, when deciding which instructor to assign to a course, there's certainly no more important indicator than the questionnaire. Who teaches the class determines whether students who take a trial lesson enroll in that cram school or preparatory school, and whether the number of students taking that course increases or decreases. Currently, I judge lessons based on whether I'm satisfied with them, rather than relying on other people's questionnaires. Of course, if my future self, 10 years from now, were to look at, for example, this overlapping combination ① lesson, I'd probably complain about things like "the pacing is bad" or "there's too much unnecessary explanation," but at this point, I only edit and post things I'm satisfied with. So, that's the story of when I was just starting out and working at Waseda Academy.
