It is now 24.5 billion, or 24.5 billion kilometers away. It takes twenty-three hours, or almost a day, for a signal to reach Earth from here. Radio signals travel at the speed of light. That is, three hundred thousand kilometers per second. This spacecraft, which was given a life of just five years with the intention of observing and studying only Jupiter, Saturn, and some of their moons, is now completing fifty years by creating new legends in human history.
