Problem horse bought as a write-off – German horse whisperer tries her best | The Google Horse Story

The young gelding “Google” was bred in Thailand with the aim of pursuing a successful sporting career. Due to his appearance and excellent basic gaits, he was predicted to have a great career ahead of him. He was flown to the Netherlands and has spent his life in various dressage training stables ever since. However, he was unable to cope with the pressure of the sport horse industry. Instead of giving up, he began to fight back with all his might. As a result, he was worked very little and spent most of his life in his stall until a rider who knew his history bought him out of pity. She saved “Goggie” (as he has been called ever since) from being sold to a horse dealer or even to the slaughterhouse. While searching for a replacement horse for Konrad, the well-known German horse trainer and physiotherapist Ariane Telgen came across him on Google. Despite considerable reservations, she took on the handsome gelding. Now she is setting off on a journey with Google in the hope of turning the abused horse into a worthy successor to her dressage and draft horse Conrad. At 22 years of age, Conrad should now be enjoying his retirement. Google is reportedly unfamiliar with other horses and should be treated with caution.
