Super stoked that Typhoon Bavi missed Taiwan and everyone stayed safe. Honestly, I didn't even bother waking up early because I figured the storm’s tail would just make the water super messy and blown out. But then my buddies started spamming me with wave updates, so I scrambled out of bed and rushed straight to Jinshan to catch whatever was left of the swell. The waves were dying down fast and the lineup was absolute chaos—classic Jinshan when it’s working, everybody and their mom shows up. Since I got there way too late, I barely scored any decent rides.
