The North Pennines - By Car

This video explores some of the sights of The North Pennines that are available from the comfort of a car seat or a very short walk away from it. We start in a gorgeous part of the North Pennines, Derwent reservoir before visiting some of the places around the reservoir. We leave the local area and drive up onto the top of the moors on our way to Stanhope which gives us our first real glimpse of the North Pennines, calling at Parkhead Railway station on the way. We then dip down into Stanhope before ascending the other side to visit a picturesque quarry on our way to Middleton in Teesdale, again crossing the top of the North Pennines.
