1980s Hitachi Traction Elevator at No. 176, Sec. 2, Nanjing E. Rd., Zhongshan Dist., Taipei, Taiwan

This is an early 1980s Hitachi elevator. It is quite grotty, with parts of the ceiling cracked and the analog indicator missing components. The model is YP type, an export version of the Japanese BUIL-ACE Astro. Unlike other Hitachi elevators in Taiwan at the time, this one doesn't display the "Yungtay" name on the capacity badge, suggesting it may have been imported directly from Japan rather than from Yungtay's Taoyuan Chun Ri Road factory. ---- Manufacturer: Hitachi Ltd.
