Polwarth 4 Ways: Woollen, Worsted, 2 vs. 3ply

G'day FleeceFolk! This week we have Polwarth on the menu (huzzah!). This Jan I came across Ash Trebilco and her flock of Polwarths in the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria. I was so impressed with the staple lengths on these babies that I had to see it for myself. This video documents an attempt at sampling this fleece 4 different ways: woollen, worsted, 2ply and 3ply and I must say I was very surprised with the results! I have left a lot of wheel clickety clackety in this video (I just love the sound of it - it's meditative!). I've also left in a lot of 'secondary' footage to show you how I adjust into a spin. It's never a hop and go operation (and I love that!) I hope you enjoy this experiment and I'd love to hear about how you prefer to spin Polwarth. The possibilities are endless!
