🌇 Arkadag – a new city in three years! It became the regional capital of the Ahal Region on December 20, 2022. 🇹🇲 The city was named in honor of former President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. Alone among Turkmen cities, Arkadag is legally recognized as a "city of national significance." 😱 The speed of the project's implementation is astounding. Turkmenistan built a new city in three years, while we've been resettling residents from dilapidated buildings for 20-35 years. The city is still somewhat empty right now, with many houses standing empty. But I think that will change soon. 🤝 It's so wonderful that traveling to this country is now much easier. I wish prosperity to the new city and to Turkmenistan!
