സ്ത്രീകള്‍ക്കായി കെഎസ്ആര്‍ടിസി നടപ്പാക്കിയ സൗജന്യ യാത്രാ പദ്ധതിയായ 'പ്രിയദര്‍ശിനി'യുടെ ചെലവ് വഹിക്കുന്നതിനുള്ള സാമ്പത്തിക ക്രമീകരണങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് സംസ്ഥാന സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ തുടക്കമിട്ടു. പദ്ധതിയുടെ ഭാഗമായി കെഎസ്ആര്‍ടിസിക്ക് ഉണ്ടാകുന്ന വരുമാനക്കുറവ് പരിഹരിക്കുന്നതിനായി കേരള ഫിനാന്‍ഷ്യല്‍ കോര്‍പ്പറേഷന്‍ മുഖേന ഓവര്‍ഡ്രാഫ്റ്റ് അനുവദിക്കാനാണ് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ തീരുമാനിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നത്. ആറുമാസത്തെ കാലാവധിക്കായി സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ ഗ്യാരന്റിയുടെ അടിസ്ഥാനത്തിലായിരിക്കും ഈ സാമ്പത്തിക സഹായം ലഭ്യമാകുക. പദ്ധതിയുടെ തുടര്‍ച്ച ഉറപ്പാക്കുന്നതിനും കെഎസ്ആര്‍ടിസിയുടെ ദൈനംദിന പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് തടസ്സമുണ്ടാകാതിരിക്കാനുമാണ് ഈ നടപടിയെന്ന് സര്‍ക്കാര്‍ വൃത്തങ്ങള്‍ വ്യക്തമാക്കുന്നു. The state government has initiated financial arrangements to cover the expenses of 'Priyadarshini', the free travel scheme implemented by KSRTC for women. To compensate for the revenue loss incurred by KSRTC as part of the scheme, the government has decided to sanction an overdraft through the Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC). This financial assistance will be made available for a six-month tenure backed by a government guarantee. Government sources clarified that this measure is intended to ensure the continuity of the scheme and to prevent any disruption to KSRTC's day-to-day operations.
