Perfectone EP6A portable tape recorder (cheap Nagra) playback
Throughout 1960's Perfectone EP6A was a competition to Nagra III, mainly in the field of sync recordings in film industry. This professional Swiss made lightweight tape recorder features single 19 cm/s 7.5 its speed, full track mono recording and two motors (separate for rewinding). It can operate on 12x D batteries or from external PSU. Unfortunately Perfectone's film sound synchronisation system used impractical recording on the edges method, which simply turned out unreliable. Especially when compared with Neopilot system from Nagra Kudelski. EP6A recorders disappeared after decade's end. 0:00 Intro 1:48 Playback start 6:42 End
