The morning began with our boat gliding past Sojnekhali towards the majestic Panchmukhi Mohana (the confluence of five rivers). Cruising through the narrow, mysterious creeks of the Sundarbans, with dense mangrove forests flanking both sides, is a surreal feeling that words can strictly never do justice to. At the Sojnekhali Wildlife Sanctuary, we caught a glimpse of some beautiful turtles. ​Leaving Sojnekhali behind, we sailed through the thrilling, deep canopy of the Pirkhali jungle as we made our way toward Jhorkhali. After treating ourselves to a hearty morning breakfast, we reached the Jhorkhali Tiger Reserve Centre. We bought our entry tickets for just ₹30, and the adventure began instantly . Inside, we were first greeted by a massive, rare White Crocodile. But the ultimate highlight was yet to come there he was, in all his majestic glory, the king of the Sundarbans himself the Royal Bengal Tiger. Seeing him from up close was an absolute spine-chilling and unforgettable moment! With the excitement of the tiger sighting still fresh, we hopped back onto our boat. Now, what is a Sundarban trip during the Ilish Utsav without a grand feast? Floating on the gentle river waves, we dove into a lavish lunch featuring a variety of mouth-watering Hilsa delicacies. Wrapping up the day: After a day packed with wild adventures and incredible food, we are spending the night at Pakhiralay.
