Separated from her siblings at a young age, Rachel Muthoni grew up in a children’s home where she learned about God—but teenage rebellion led her astray. Expelled from school and rejected by her mother, she found herself homeless and trapped in a cycle of drinking, smoking, and survival on the streets. Life took a darker turn as she became a mother twice, struggled with addiction, and eventually landed in prison. Behind bars, Rachel encountered God in a new way. She began reading, praying, and rebuilding her sense of worth. After her release, she reunited with her sister, who connected her to a church where she gave her life to Christ. Today, Rachel celebrates a year of sobriety, works at a local milk bar, and continues to trust God for full restoration—including reuniting with her children. Her story is one of brokenness turned into beauty, and hope rising from rock bottom.
