WXXA Commercial Breaks (November 14, 1986)

Taken from Rocky, the 1976 film starring Sylvester Stallone, airing on Fox affiliate WXXA-TV (channel 23) in Albany, NY. Fox had just launched on WXXA on October 9, and was one of the first stations it signed with as an affiliate. The date was obtained by the Joan Rivers show promo, which would be airing that night. WXXA aired Fox's lone show at 11pm opposite the late news, and that probably contributed to the show's downfall. WXXA would eventually get a primetime line-up in April of 1987 on weekends, putting Fox in competition with the Big Three. (C) 1986 Albany TV-23, Inc.; WXXA is now owned by Mission Broadcasting.
