Part 1 - Legendary Playwright Haseena Moin , her life & works | The Flying Carpet Company 🎞️

HASEENA Moin was born in Kanpur, Indian State of Uttar Pradesh & received her early education in her ancestral region. After the divide in 1947 she & her family migrated to Pakistan. They lived for some years in Rawalpindi , Lahore & later settled in Karachi in the 1950's. Haseena wrote Pakistan's first original TV script 'Kiran Kahani ' for the State Television PTV, it was aired in the early 1970s. Some of the most popular dramas she wrote that gained international repute include Ankahi, Tanhaiyaan, Kiran Kahani, Dhoop Kinaray, Aahat, Uncle Urfi, Shehzori, Kohar, Des Pardes, Pal Do Pal, Aansoo, Kasak, Parchaiyan (1976) and Parosi. Other notable works include Mere Dard ko Jo Zuban Milay, Kaisa Yeh Junoon, Dhundle Raaste, Shayad ke Bahar Aaye, Mohim Joo, Tum Se Mil Kar, Bandish and Zer Zabar Paish. Haseena Moin has also written for the Silver Screen for Indian & Pakistani Movies. Amongst other numerous Awards , Ms Moin was the recipient of Pride of Performance Award . It's one of the highest Civil awards conferred by the Government of Pakistan .
