In our first watch reaction to Spider-Noir Episode 1, “Step Into My Office,” Nicolas Cage introduces us to a version of Spider-Man unlike anything we’ve seen before. Set in a gritty 1930s New York, the premiere follows former vigilante Ben Reilly as he’s pulled back into a world of corruption, mobsters, super-powered criminals, and enough noir atmosphere to make a detective novel jealous.   From the tragic backstory surrounding Ruby, to the mystery of Jimmy Addison’s explosive powers, to the arrival of Silvermane, Cat Hardy, and an absolutely incredible showdown with Flint Marko’s Sandman, this episode had us locked in from start to finish.
