The Clackamas River Watershed Celebration - Seeds of Change
The Clackamas River Basin Council shares inspiring stories of river restoration, salmon habitat recovery, and community action along the Clackamas River in Oregon. From hands-on cleanups to large-scale habitat projects, these efforts show how small actions can grow into lasting change. In this video, you’ll see: --- River cleanups in Oregon – including Stash the Trash, the Down the River Cleanup, and the Upper Clackamas Cleanup, where volunteers work together to keep the river clean and healthy. --- Fish and wildlife restoration projects – such as the Beebe Island Side Channel Reconnection, the South Fork Clackamas Large Wood Enhancement Project, and the Confederated Tribes of Grand Ronde Side Channel Project, which restore critical habitat for salmon, steelhead, trout, and Pacific lamprey. ---Watershed health and water quality protection – including pesticide reduction efforts to protect clean drinking water and support thriving ecosystems. The Clackamas River provides drinking water, recreation, and habitat for countless species. By planting seeds of change—whether through volunteering, reducing pesticide use, or joining a cleanup—we can all help protect this vital Oregon watershed.
