Diving in the MALDIVES - Embudu Channel "Borderline Experience - Our First Channel" 4K Embudu What would a diving holiday in the Maldives be without a channel dive? Well, in today's video, you'll be joining us on our first dive in such a channel. A channel is a current inlet or outlet of an atoll, usually located between two islands. Here, water is pumped in or out of an atoll with sometimes enormous force. Since sharks and other large predatory fish love currents, you can expect to see large fish hunting in the current in such a channel, as small fish also use the current to feed on the plankton that thrives in the nutrient-rich water. Dangling yourself on a reef hook in the current at a depth of around 32 meters is a truly borderline experience of a different kind. At least we made it to dinner practically wrinkle-free.
