Glasflugel Mosquito B: another local flight on a hot July day
The day before (Friday the 10th) had been a great day for soaring, with even wood and fabric K13 and K6 gliders flying remarkable distances. I was working, of course, and when I cam on Saturday, the conditions were less promising. There were no high cumulus and it was going to be blue. The forecast proved accurate and the inversion capped the thermals at ~4000' locally - and even these seemed eratic with lots of sink between. Not a day for venturing far. Some of those that were more optimistic ended up landing out.
