A new LPA, “Invest 96W” is organizing to the east of Visayas and will traverse Central Philippines within the next 24 to 48 hours - bringing scattered to widespread rains and severe thunderstorms across Southern Luzon, NCR, Bicol Region, Visayas, Northern & Eastern Mindanao, MiMaRoPa, Sulu & Cuyo Archipelagos. Risks of widespread flooding and landslides are likely during the passage of this system. Once the system exits Central Philippines, the chances of this LPA of becoming a Tropical Cyclone increases, as it moves across the West Philippine Sea.
