Texas Dove Hunt

Dove hunting in Texas is an Iconic American hunt. Wow Texas did not disappoint! Amazing Barbecue at Truth in Houston. They were even gracious enough to give us behind the scenes tour. I have wanted to hunt White Winged Dove for over 20 years and here we were. The number of birds was astounding! Tens of thousands of birds were feeding in the sunflower fields. Clayton and I were both shooting Beretta shotguns in 20 gauge. His the A 400 Upland and mine the Silver Pigeon Over and Under. Tight chokes were helpful as the shots were sometimes long. Both of us preferring Full Choke. The "Dove Wrangler" proved to be helpful tool keeping our birds organized and elevated.
