Spray Plaster: What are the Benefits? (Watch a Demo)

Spray plaster has been around for decades but it's not nearly as popular as its gypsum counterpart. This method has plenty of benefits, as BIG John and spray plastering expert, Will, explain in this video. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥? Spray plaster comes in bags, ready mixed. It's white in colour and has a creamy, mousse-like texture. The plaster is placed into a hopper/compressor and applied using a 'gun'. Once applied it is levelled and left to dry. This process is repeated before it is sanded to finish. 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗔𝗥𝗘 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗕𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗙𝗜𝗧𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗦𝗣𝗥𝗔𝗬 𝗣𝗟𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗥? Spray plastering has many benefits, as John and Will allude to in the video. These include: 🔵 It's lightweight and easy to handle; 🔵 It comes ready mixed so improves consistency; 🔵 It's user friendly and not as fatiguing as applying gypsum; 🔵 It dries fast. It can be fully dry in 2 days 🔵 It dries white so there is no need for a mist-coat; 🔵 It gives a matt finish so there is greater depth in terms of painting; 🔵 Spray plaster gives a Level 5 finish (regular plaster gives Level 4).
