In this video I am checking out the brand new MXR Rockman X100 Pedal. This is a recreation of the classic Rockman X100 Headphone amp designed by Boston guitarist Tom Scholz. The original Rockman units, although initially designed as a practise tool, became widely used in the 1980s studio scene by many huge names including Def Leppard, Steve Stevens, Megadeth and more. The pedal has the same 4 original Rockman channels, CLN2, CLN1, EDGE and DIST, along with a switchable Chorus much like the originals. In the video I am playing a 1988 Charvel 3DR. For the first part of the video, the pedal is running straight into my audio interface, for the second half it is plugged into the Blackstar TV-10A amp which is running via the Two Notes Torpedo Captor X.
